The team at Bolderwood has provided prototyping solutions to the Financial Services industry since 2004. These prototypes are working applications that validate your business ideas and determine the value of further investment and contributing to a robust Business Case.

Our goal: ‘To rapidly build and deploy IT based test and learn solutions to allow your business ideas and opportunities to be explored and evaluated.’

Importantly, a successful trial may also prove that the idea offers little benefit and as a result, investment should not be pursued. When innovating and experimenting this is a successful outcome ensuring that significant resources are not applied to projects and programmes that will deliver little business value.

Training Applications

It still amazes us just how many multi-£million projects there are that still view user training as something of an after-thought, often leaving the training plan and solution until close to the ‘go-live’ date for the business.

There is a period of transition, often lasting months, that follows implementation of an IT system where IT errors are resolved and staff become familiar with the new IT system and associated processes.

This transition period can be costly, both in financial terms and in reputation, with customers and employees often the most affected by poor service during this period.

Our training applications aim to remove this transition period by ensuring that users become familiar with the functions and features of an application prior to implementation in the live environment.

The training application is a ‘facsimile’ of the production application that allows users to explore and learn about functions, features and process in a safe environment and in advance of implementation. The result is a smooth transition to the new IT system and the acceleration of benefit realisation.
